There is nothing more enticing, disenchanting, and enslaving than the life at sea.

A traditional Zulu wedding
The traditional Zulu wedding always takes place at the family home of the groom. The bride´s father takes her to her new family home. She should not look back since it brings bad luck. At her arrival at the groom´s house, the bride must first walk around the house to be introduced to her husband´s ancestors before entering through the kitchen without being noticed.
Two cows will be offered by the groom and shall be slaughtered on the wedding day. The groom also buys a goat that is slaughtered after the head of the family has spoken. The father of the groom opens the ceremony by addressing a welcoming speech to his new daughter.
The ceremony is followed by food and dance.
The two families exchange gifts. The groom´s family gives gifts before the ceremony takes place, the bride´s family does it on the wedding day. The family of the bride offers grass mats and blankets to the guests.
The bride is the Queen of the day.
She draws the attention of all the guests.
The eyes are set on her and are full of admiration.
She is wearing a traditional white dress which suits her beautifully. The pleated skirt gives her some natural swing and the top is extremely feminine.
The joyful bride is dancing in front of the groom and all the wedding guests.
She is lifting up her hands in a very cheerful manner.
She is transferring her happiness to the whole assembly which is looking at her in great admiration.
Something is happening, something very special : they are all witnessing a wedding.
A wedding is not only a feast, it is much more than that it is a celebration.
It is the celebration of the incredible and dairy decision of two people to unite their destiny.
